EK3 is an electro-pop EDM duo that got its start almost by happenstance. They walked into their first session with no real expectations. They only knew that a mutual friend thought they'd get along… and that they did. Though one came from dance music and the other from rock, their different ways of hearing what a song could be ended up being a compounding strength in their ongoing sessions. Neither was looking for a partner or a project, but the partnership blossomed, and the project bore fruit in the form of "Talking to Myself," their debut single.
EK3’s “Show Me the Way” picks up where they left off and shows us the way they’re moving forward, with a hybridized sound that takes rock grit and energy and uses the vernacular of dance-pop and electro-pop to relay its message.
“Show Me the Way” opens with digital guitars and layered voices that suggest one thing, then drops into something else entirely. A kick drum and synthetic bass hit hard with nothing to soften them, that is, until the outro arrives, as if the “medicine” the song talks about is finally kicking in with a wholesome sense of relief.
The mysterious chemistry that brought EK3 together is just kicking in as well, with two singles out and no reason not to keep pollinating the airwaves with their infectious and lush electro sound. It feels like they’ve stumbled on the foundation of something enduring.

What makes that foundation hold is how mature and polished the result of their merged perspective is; they sound like two people who stopped checking whether their instincts matched creatively and started trusting the times of friction and the natural flow instead. "Show Me the Way" really captures that ease.
