Casey Lipka releases her new single, “Never Want To Say,” where the Los Angeles–based bassist, vocalist, and composer focuses on the delicate moment within a relationship when someone chooses to reveal who they truly are, even knowing it could change everything.
The song explains that saying “this is who I am” does not always guarantee the relationship will last, but it does secure personal authenticity. Casey approaches vulnerability from a grounded place, acknowledging that relationships are imperfect and that choosing to stay also means facing discomfort.
Casey has toured in and outside the United States with her own projects as well as with the acclaimed band CAKE. Her experience allows her to bring precision to the track while also leaving space for her voice to breathe and hold the emotional center of the piece.
From composing for ballet and museum installations to leading Motown tributes and community-driven projects, her work understands music as dialogue, and “Never Want To Say” fits within that vision. It is not just a song about a relationship; it reflects on what it means to go deeper when staying silent would be easier.
At the same time, Casey Lipka leads a collaborative initiative that highlights women, BIPOC women, and women with disabilities, combining live performances with conversations about lived experiences.
