“‘Playstation’ was written on a scorching hot day in LA when I was pregnant and nauseous and was basically bedridden every day. We wanted to capture the feeling of getting caught droning on your phone, playing video games, or watching reality TV in bed and getting stuck there—the guilty pleasure of it. This song represents the sea change in the sonic direction of the album toward something darker and more intense,” she shared.
