His musical journey began when he was just a little kid playing a pretend piano on his family's striped couch before moving on to an actual drum kit. He took that childhood passion all the way to the highest levels of academia. After graduating from a performing arts high school, he earned a Jazz Performance Honours Degree, a Master’s degree, and eventually a doctorate in Higher Instrumental Popular Music Education.
Before taking the spotlight, Paul spent years providing infectious drum beats for a variety of projects. His resume is stacked with live shows, studio sessions, television appearances, and stage productions. He has been the rhythmic driving force behind musicians who have worked with legends like BB King, Amy Winehouse, and James Brown.
