This roundup is all about fearless voices and fresh perspectives. Across scenes and styles, these artists are crafting music that demands to be heard—songs that celebrate individuality, confront vulnerability, and move between worlds without hesitation. Turn the volume up and dive in!

FLYANA BOSS

The female rap duo FLYANA BOSS is making a full-blown tsunami with their unapologetic style and explosive energy. Their last release, “C*NT,” turned heads; they’re keeping that same fire with their latest single, "TRY ME."

Available on all streaming platforms, the track shows exactly why these two are here to stay. In a genre often dominated by men, FLYANA BOSS proves what two powerful women can do together.

The song “is us talking our sh*t—plain and simple,” says Flyana Boss. “It’s the moment you stop playing nice and remind everybody of what you’re made of. We’ve worked too hard to shrink ourselves, so this one’s for anyone tired of being underestimated.”

“TRY ME” was featured on Grindr’s FriGAY new music spotlight, sharing Flyana Boss’ message of individuality and self-expression with the global LGBTQ+ community. The feature celebrates their inclusive spirit and their ability to connect through both music and culture. They also joined the Good Moms Bad Choices podcast for a candid, lighthearted talk about friendship, creativity, and owning their power.

India Shawn

What do you get when you blend country, R&B, and pop? India Shawn's new single and video, “Gone.” The record is a dazzling track that’s sure to captivate. Co-written by India Shawn, D’Mile, Bianca “Blush” Atterbery, and Jean Baptiste Kouame, the song reflects her signature style, which is honest, empowering, and effortlessly catchy.

The video is just as striking, capturing Shawn’s joy and self-expression. Directed by David Maxwell, it blends a Western aesthetic with modern cinematic flair, giving the soul/pop anthem a neo-Western touch that perfectly showcases her powerful vocals.

India Shawn explains, “‘Gone’ is about releasing what doesn’t serve you, not in bitterness, but with clarity. It’s me learning that being alone isn’t lonely when you’re honest about what you deserve. I wrote it from that moment where you stop fighting to fix something that keeps breaking you and instead choose yourself.”

India Shawn is currently touring with Free Nationals and Giveon. Check her socials for tour dates and updates.

Joey Myron

Joey Myron stands out as an artist who writes not just to express himself, but to connect deeply with his listeners. Influenced by legends from Johnny Cash to Nina Simone, he’s been carving his own place in today’s music scene. He’s worked with top producers and writers, including DJ/producer Mickey Valen, on his breakout hit “Chills,” which has racked up over 90 million streams.

Myron describes his sound as “urban cowboy,” and his new single, "Best Western," captures it perfectly. With infectious hooks and standout vocals, the track shows country and pop at their best, and Myron’s voice is the star of it all.

Kaylee Bell

We’re keeping it Western with CMA award winner Kaylee Bell, who recently dropped her long-awaited album “Cowboy Up,” a heartfelt collection filled with anthems of love, resilience, and self-discovery. From the empowering title track to fan favorites like “Red Dirt Romeo” and “Ring On It,” Bell showcases her most authentic sound yet. One standout moment is “Song for Shania,” a touching tribute to her lifelong inspiration, Shania Twain, where admiration becomes a personal anthem rather than the album’s focus.

Maisy Kay

Originally from the UK, Maisy Kay moved to LA at a young age, always knowing that music was her true calling. Drawing from her life experiences, she blends British and American influences to craft something uniquely her own. Her latest single, “Death of the Party,” pushes her sound forward with a grounded yet edgy energy, while her alluring vocals pull listeners deep into her meticulously crafted world.

Beyond music, Maisy runs her own online store, Shop Maisy Kay, where she designs every product herself. She’s also touring Australia and New Zealand with Lauren Spencer Smith this Fall.

The Far West

The Far West has quickly become one of our favorites. The band’s current lineup features Brian Bachman (drums/backing vocals), Aaron Bakker (guitar/backing vocals), Robert Black (bass/backing vocals), Lee Briante (guitar, harmonica, vocals), and Michael Whiteside (piano, organ, keys, backing vocals).

Their latest single/video, “Hope I Don’t Bleed,” blends psychedelia, alternative, and classic rock, with Lee Briante’s guitar work standing out in particular. The animated video carries a nostalgic ’90s MTV aesthetic, a perfect nod to Halloween season.

The story behind the song is interesting. “We were on tour with Dave & Phil Alvin and got up the courage to ask Dave to join us on stage in Boston. He did. After the tour, we invited him to the studio. My son was born the night before the session, but my wife encouraged me to go. I left them at the hospital while Dave recorded an amazing solo for us.”

Rikki Lumi

Rikki Lumi is an otherworldly artist searching for genuine connection on Earth. Banished from Venus for her inability to love, she arrived here to reveal the version of herself she wished her own planet had seen. Discovering the moon and its mysterious pull on the tides became her first true connection. Love songs and imitated emotions haven’t brought her love, but they’ve awakened fascination and creativity instead.

Her new song, “Sun & Moon,” deepens her exploration of human connection. A thread of melancholy runs through each verse, while her haunting melodies lift the track into something ethereal. With it, Rikki Lumi reminds us that music truly transcends worlds, a universal language of emotion.

Special K’s

Special K's returns with “Talk to Me,” a heartfelt song about loss and the strength found in the memory of someone gone. The track approaches grief with honesty, revealing both pain and the quiet comfort that a loved one’s memory can bring. Through their lyrics, Special K evokes empathy and shared emotion.

Musically, “Talk to Me” fuses pop and indie soul into an intimate, deeply emotional sound. It’s a gentle reminder that while loss is universal, so are connection and hope, offering a shared space for healing.

“Talk to Me” will resonate deeply with anyone navigating a difficult time. Special K’s offers comfort through music, a reminder that you never have to face grief alone.
